See Spot Surf

I love the water — but surfing would be a stretch for me. So I send a big Hang 20! to the dozens of dogs that compete in the annual Loew’s Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog competition in California http://www.loewssurfdog.blogspot.com. Each dog has 10 minutes to catch his or her top two waves and is scored on confidence level, length of ride and overall ability to “grip it and rip it.” This year’s competition is next Saturday, June 16, 2012, Dunes Park/Beach, 700 Seacoast Drive, Imperial Beach, CA 91932. The event raises funds for charitable causes. Loew’s Coronado Bay  offers a special “Surf Dog” rate June 15th – 17th. If you are in the neighborhood, Catch the Wave!!
