I’m an Australian Shepherd. Why wouldn’t I use that as an excuse to recognize Australia Day, January 26th, the anniversary of the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove in 1788 and the proclamation of British sovereignty over the eastern seaboard of New Holland? (I know, my breed doesn’t really have much to do with Australia, but I rarely turn down a chance to don a snazzy hat.) What I don’t do is sing about Australia Day. For that, you’ll have to visit You Tube for a canine chorus of Waltzing Matilda
